With a rapid, successful deer season over (2 bucks down) in the first day, buddy and I headed to Hullet for a morning hunt. While water levels were higher, I was concerned about the big weed patches we'd have to get through with the canoe. The channel out was fine....and the turn into the marsh, while weedy, was also fine. We did not have to get out once to push....and were able to effectively paddle.
On way out, lots birds flying (wings whistling). Spent a good time out...bouts of snow and calm...some sun. Lots of birds moving. Had to tweek the spread a few times....but ended up getting 8
