Well I did not sleep well last night so it was an early start for me today. Launched the Legend about 4:45 AM and marked a couple fish in 22 fow so I put a couple rods down. Nailed a 6.7 LB Wally in 22 fow down 20' at 5:15 am and it was still dark out. Fish was caught on a chrome and blue RRF. Trolled all the way out to the 72' trough and nothing. Talked to my buddy Tim and he was having better luck than me and was getting them on Worm Harnesses. I told him I had some harnesses but no worms so he told me to meet him in 65 fow and he would give me a tub as he had 3. I did that and then caught a couple more. Got caught in the sudden rainstorm that came up from behind me as I was fighting a fish. No Thunder or Lightning just a sudden down pour in the sunshine. It was foggy all morning. After I got soaked I called it a day and headed for shore. There are fish here you just have to work for them. A couple more weeks and it will be crazy. It is pretty cool heading out when all you can see is the bow lights and nothing else. You have to use your GPS to know where your going.
