fish today

Took a new friend who has never caught a rainbow to the Grand at Caledonia today.
Gave him my best outfit to use.
He caught a 12lb'er. I had to threaten him with walking home to get him to release it.
He is out buying waders right now ; but I was as excited to see him catch it as he was to catch it.
I haven't tried to post pictures here before,if I'm feeling adventurous tomorrow may try.

Nice catch for the last day of the extended season on the Grand. Great that you released it as well, hopefully that fish will complete his reproductive obligations and return to the lake.
Problem at the dam is that anglers continue to fish there with float outfits pretending they are fishing for walleye, hope the ministry keeps their eye on the river.
