drove to the end of Pitt st this morning and the rollers still look big but peaks about 15 feet apart. winds are supposed to pick up again this afternoon. my uncle thinks we shouldn't even go out for a few hours this morning....getting tired of not fishing though. anyone else going to give it a try today?

let's hope..i am not worried about the waves with our boat as much as it not being enjoyable to fish.
what site did you pull that from?
thanks

hey jedeye...welcome to lake erie....the last couple seasons the marine weather averaged one good day a week to get out offshore fishin
i remember last season the weekend fishermen had nasty marine conditions almost every weekend...and a few 30+ knots gale force..
erie rocks hard...like you said wheres a day that will be enjoyable...well it looks like tomorrow am wednesday...keep moving till you find um...and good luck

Thanks Mick..i was well aware that Erie being shallow was going to have its bad days...but give us a little NW wind for a change!! all this time on land is going to force me to the LCBO today to restock..lol

That was from the Windfinder site. I added the other sites I use as well as the Port Stanley weather bouy at the end which gives you wave conditions etc. in real time. Just remember to double the wave height for the actual height, if it says 1 meter it's actually 2. You will find these an immense help when deciding what days to choose going offshore on Erie. :)

Good luck as tomorrow is going to be a great day to be on the water for all of us able to go. (y)

Although I feel sorry for the weekend warriors. :sorry::(

If anything it may be a little too calm... but hey we'll take it after the Erie hurricanes we've been getting lately. :D:D

hi guys I just check the wind for tomorrow and it says 12 km west with gusts to 23, will that be ok for a 17 ft aluminum
thank you for your feedback in advance
right now 5:20 am..says 4-6 knots...should be fine but always pay attention
