I just inherited a brand new in the box Equinox with all the bells and whistles so one of them has to go, I am keeping the more expensive of the two. The Middleton has been an excellent bow for me taking three deer and two turkey last year. It is much shorter and lighter than the excal and handles like a dream in the tree stand, any of the problems they had with the earlier models have been worked out (finish on the limbs used to crack after the first string up, now bows are kolorfusion and prblem has been fixed). You will hear many differing opinions on the xbow, I have owned a Barnett (did not like) and the two I currently own I love. The DTM330 uses a power stroke one full inch shorter than the comparable excal to achive the same velocity so the Middleton is a little quieter (but that really does not matter with an xbow LOL).
