Slow day on the pond, ten keeper perch, ten smallmouth, and two small walleye from this springs hatch. Some bass were huge, we never landed them because i left the net in the garage.LOL. If you want some 5lb plus smallmouth now is the time.1573494837803.png1573494867590.png

@big rod retirement is what you make of it. I’m the same as you always busy and never home. The farming life is awesome While looking after the chicken barn, beef cattle and raising my own veal calves. The best part is all the equipment I drive with todays new technology.
Doing time up at the remote fly in fishing lodge Timber Wolf this year again for 8 weeks.
Then it’s back home to do some amazing fishing at the lake.
This fall I managed to land another job that my Dad had done in the past. I got asked if I was interested in being a punter for the duck hunting season at the Bluff Club. Nice thing about this job is that I’m still on the water.
Things now have wound down and it’s busy time on the farm and getting phone calls to do snow removal for a local landscaper.
Our first snowfall Monday night put me in the loader from 10:00 pm till 10:30 am Tuesday morning. Those are unusual hrs as I had to plow another guys plow log and mine as well. From commercial parking lots, public school lots and local business lots it was a long night.

I’ve never went looking for work, work was looking for me. RETIREMENT!!!!!! What is that!!! Enjoy life for what it has to offer Chip.
