I have heard most of Young's creek has been posted from the concervation area down, does any one know anything about this?

I brought up this subject awhile ago trying to get some clarification.

Just so happened I was in Vittoria not long after and met up with a couple guys from Long point conservation authority. They werent clear on the subject and suggested I get in touch with the office in Tillsonburg to find out whats going on.

Never did but that seems the way to go to remove all doubt.

You have to be kidding me!! Does this mean we can not longer fish from hwy24 to the dam anymore. I was thinking of heading up there next weekend.

ZX it's the section between the conservation area and the small wood/steel bridge that is posted on both sides from that bridge to the lake is fishable from 1 side opposite of the property.I had the mis fortune of meeting the land owner and he's far from a people person to put it politely the guy just doesn't want people back there at all. I'm gonna e-mail the LPRCA and see what they say I will let ya know when I get a reply.

I'm glad someone has brought this up again because there seems to be so many stories about where its ok to fish. I was pretty sure its just the way SRT8 described it, fishing is ok directly at the conservation area and then is closed untill you reach the property down river of the steel/wooden bridge. Where I am not certain about is the land from HWY24 to the " Big Tube " in PT.Ryerse. If we could get 100% clarification on this im sure lots of anglers would be happy! Thanks guys! FB :D

Are there Riparian Rights involved? If not then you should be able to fish the bank as long as you do not venture 25' from shore. I do not know the area. Just wondering.

I AM NATIVE, & am not offended by comments made by anyone on this site, that's why we have freedom of speech!, you have to take the good along with the bad with everything you do in life
I have been down to young's creek in early spring and witnessed "people" ( I have put it that way on purpose!!!), catching, netting & spearing trout
Some are taking these fish to eat & some are only taking these fish for the eggs, totally legal......but to me it is a total waste of food, But that's MY opinion.
So I too, as a "person",can relate to other people on this site
So please consider this in future posts consequencefree, none of us are perfect, but that's what makes us all unique in our own special way
I understand though that you were expressing your opinion, but belittling people in the process is not the best way to get your point accross
But again, that's only my personal opinion
I hope this is the last negitive post on this and we can all move on

[xx(]+when some one threatns u with a fire arm on ur property because they want to spear spawning fish its time to say no TRESPASSING THAT GOES FOR ALL RIGHT 8

Well I was in fact defending with a light hearted slang that I have gotten used to calling a buddy that is native no offence was intended and I do appologize I am in NO WAY racist and judge people by there character not by race color or any other stereotype .That aside I got a responce back from LPRCA and the posted land is private property and they have maps of LPRCA property at the Tillsonburg Office that will show in detail which area's are accessible to the public.

Again I did not mean to offend I was trying to take the thread away from the path it was headed on sorry Consequence Free .fishn4life you sir have a great attidude and I wish more of us all could take things on these forums for what they are words and opinions nothing more .

SRT8---do you have a name at the LPRCA office that replied to your email??? I think the general population is aware of the private property that you mention. What seems to be in question is the area below the steel bridge----the guys I talked to could only tell me that they (LPRCA) maintain the parking area but were vague as to the ownership of the property itself.

Thanks Gord

Gord I will pick up a map on friday and ask if I can scan and post it here but I suspect there may be copyright issues there my understanding though is the east side of youngs is not private and is open to the public.I know if the land owner see's anyone in the PP area he calls the police .with stuff like this happening I can't say I blame him though.

If I drove a pick up that plastic tubing wouldn't have stayed there. People dump crap on and around the LPRCA and on the land owners property all the time I wish people would stop doing this crap and use a land fill .The salmon slaughter I just can't understand 3 males 2 females all cleaned cut up skinned then tossed all of it makes no sense to me if you want eggs why bother doing this and to males ?

Thanks Shaun

If the area in question really comes under LPRCA jurisdiction a little signage might? save people being harassed for being there.

Just a thought.

I went in and talked to the LPRCA and looked at the map which is not a very detailed map but from what I saw the CA is about 50 feet down stream from the maintained property it is then private property to the iron bridge then the side of the creek that the parking area is on (Please use the lot as the spots just across the bridge are PP)we don't want that landowner (which isn't the guy that posts his property)to put up signs .The CA goes from the iron bridge about 3/4 the way to HWY 24 but I don't think the landowner minds us back there but I'm not positive after the HWY 24 I don't know. what I got from LPRCA is they don't do any logging there so they don't have up to date mapping my contact is digging deeper and will hopefully give us a clearer picture .I know this guy is a pain but we as anglers do have to respect landowners or we will continue to loose fishing opportunities like this bring a bag with you and pick up some trash it goes a long way if they notice were doing it .
