Boat ramps thoughts??

@Josh Roelofsen , I am speaking of hwy traffic volumes, not city streets. I should have been more specific.

They're driving past numerous places for groceries, so they must be incredibly fussy where they shop. :)

Further note, many must be carrying perishables or life saving organs that are about to expire in minutes/seconds the way they are driving. :eek::eek::X3:

More space than normal, speeders appear much braver now. :unsure:

We are in some serious shit here, think most get that, you's still searching for ramps, Closed. if they aren't they will be. Your not going to load up the boat and go north, thats stupid, they don't want you now, example, Peterville hosp has room for 40 on a good day? Summertime pop swells to over 300,000? Just stay home, please.
Cleaned off today's e mails, booby shots, old guys love boobies, government slams and such, But one stood out?
Decades ago, Canada ask men and women to fight and die for our country, and they did, today they ask to stay home and ride the couch? And we can't? Really buttercups?

I dont think we should be bashing people especially in these times , some people cant cope with stress as well as others
So to save myself some aggravation I simply block some thread until this is over and then will re evaluate the person at later date if I want to read their post
 
so..........................anyone tell me where I can launch a boat? Port Maitland? Nanticoke? Turkey Point? Port Rowan? Long Point? Just re-powered my boat with a new 90 Merc and I'm itching to break it in! I promise to stay away from everyone! Stay safe boys
 
I am going out in my kayak by myself in the next couple days. Figure i should burn up some of that deisel in my truck since it has been sitting in there for 3 weeks. This is my favorite time of year for my favorite type of species and it turns on and off pretty quick.
I figure if i am going out in my kayak, launching where no one else will be, probably wont see anyone my entire trip.
 
5 pages of comments... I see some are on the same page as myself... Some have there own book... lol... I really don't think name calling is needed to get your point across... Hope this all gets behind us quickly and we can enjoy being on the water... There is no need to panic... Be concerned and proactive... Hope all stay safe and healthy...

Totally agree it's just me & my wife ( who share the same air every day) we have kept away from everyone for 3 weeks now cause we do take this seriously , but if people can go out walking the dog then it's no different than me being at the ramp. We wear gloves when we do have to go out & keep the 6ft between us & anybody else. I get why tho cause too many people are still gathering & I'm sure the ramps will be no different. It hurts all of us cause some can't (won't) follow the new rules. If I find a ramp open I will be going out!!
 
Sounds like old cut & a few others on long point are open. Call first!!!

Agreed... common sense and it be fine
 
I've read reference to people going out and riding motorcycles in this post... is this also not against "the rules" I mean going out for a ride on your own is ok.... but when I see 15-20 guys on the highway on my way to work cruising side by side isnt that unacceptable? I'm assuming the keyboard warriors on here are ok with that kind of behavior though.... why can I go to home depot and buy drywall and home Reno material(not essential to be done but keeps me busy) but one cant go alone and go fishing on a boat?
When I worked at walmart during that giant poweroutage all those years ago... walmart moved to escorting 1 customer at time through store to purchase essential items to get through it not allowed to just buy anything... but today I can go and buy the newest video game or whatever I want.....

The need for companies and government and banks to still make money is still outwaying the severity of the situation. I mean most of the federal government's assistance programs have been directly related to banks and loans so they still turn a profit at canadians most vulnerable time. Until the government owns up and forces severe restrictions and assistance things will not get better! (Provincially and federally)
