Hey guys.
I spend a lot of my winter ice fishing season up north of parry sound.
Does anyone have experience fishing Big Caribou Lake, near Port Loring?
I would like to head out on it for Lake trout.
Any info is appreciated. PM me if that's better.
Thanks everyone and tight lines.

Yes but only in the open water season and primary for bass.
Did Mark plenty of lakers amd whitefish around 80 to 90 feet in summer.

They do stock the lake with walleye but the locals claim it's beem fished out .

Thanks for the reply jerk bait.
Do you know if there is any public access that I would be able to use in winter for a snowmobile?

Friend of mine has a cottage on the lake. Been there a few times, mostly when the weather hasn't been optimal. Marked a lot of suspended fish in the deeper holes, but didn't have much luck. My friend says if you know the spots and the time, you can put something on the table every day They do have a hatchery on the lake, but as with most near lakes, lots of pressure. There is a public boat launch. Used to be a fishing camp on the lake, but it closed several years ago.

There is a public boat launch which iam sure you could use in the winter with a sled. I want to think it was on the north end. I would recommend maybe gett.g a map ( adventure maps,) as I think they had the boat launch listed .
