I'm a huge fan of fresh Ontario Asparagus... Grilled in the flat pan, fried in butter or on the Q... Delicious...

Had two feeds out of my garden already and many more to come ! Sometimes I shave Parmesan cheese on it or a pinch of Kosher salt after I pan boil them. Just enough water to cover them , bring to boil, shut off burner, serve and eat... nothing worse than overcooked greens...belch ! The mature (fatter) ones I like on the BBQ after they bathe in an Italian or Greek salad dressing. Some people save the bottom stalk for making soup ?
 
I love it too !

Funny I hated it up until a year or two ago when I finally had it cooked properly
I think it’s disgusting unless it’s cooked a little crispy still
All the servings before that was fried to mush and doesn’t taste good at all
