What were the ice conditions like, as in thickness and consistency?
I'm wanting to take my transport and bobsled, but need a consistent 12" before taking Sally out on the ice.
Not asking for a guarantee just your opinion of what you experienced.
Thanks
Dan.
This is going to sound harsh: but give your wife a head shake and a reality check. Your mother-in-law is not going to get any better. If you're like most of us you'll need to go through government assistance to get her a room in a home. It is a long waiting list. Once there is a room for her...
I went on a fly-in trip a few years ago and we way over estimated the food we needed to bring up with us. At the end of the week I asked the owner of the camp if he wanted the steaks and other frozen meats we had. He said sure bring the stuff to the main cottage and he'd put in his big chess...
When the unit is working, does it run normally; as in speed and strength? I'm going to assume it does; for the test I'm going to try and explain.
Pull the motor cover (#22) off the side of the unit. Disconnect the two wires from the motor; they are likely plugged into the circuit board.
Now...
The way I deal with the pike slime is by using a stainless steel mesh butcher's glove.
The mesh allows you to get a firm grip on the fish, making it so much easier while fileting. It also acts like a scrub brush to easily wipe the slime off the fish and the cutting board. The glove also cleans...
I agree and they are very smart; but my Dad hated them with a passion. He grew tobacco just a bit outside of Vittoria; back in the 60's. He also raised chickens for the eggs and the meat to feed the harvest gang. Yup the old story of the fox in the chicken coop. This fox kill off about half of...
Many tachs have (or use to) a stop pin that the indicator needle rest on, when the ignition is off. If yours has one of these pins, check to see if the needle hasn't jumped to the wrong side of this rest pin; stopping it from moving up the RPM scale. Sometimes if a voltage spike (for whatever...
I've been a licensed Mechanic (Yes I still call myself a mechanic; NOT a technician) for the last 45 years. In all those years I've heard and been involved in this debate thousands of times; tire max or vehicle suggested pressures. What I tell my customers is that; we'll let the tire tell us...
You could do what I did and add a set of tracks to a Suzuki Sidekick.
AKA Sally. Sally is a bit overweight for the inner bay; but she sure did work good on Lake Nipissing. The pics were taken about 5 mile out from North Bay, last February. Had three guys and all our gear in the red bobsled; me...
If you have a soldering iron; weld it yourself. It's not hard to do at all.
After watching a few YouTube vids and you'll see what I mean.
Princes Auto has polyethylene filler rods; that's the same type of plastic used for most tanks.
Welding Rods
I've repaired a few car/truck plastic gas...
Maybe give a thought on an insulated tarp?
Insulated Tarp.
The 12'X20" weighs about 13lbs; so it's not over heavy; plus you wont need the whole tarp making even lighter.
The insulation will help with holding heat in the hut, it'll reduce the amount of condensation on the inside and it'll...
It's not just cables these scumbags are stealing. Just a couple of weeks ago a customer had their full size Chevy van towed in. Customer asked if I could check why his exhaust is so loud. Had a look under the van and found that the catalytic converter had been cut off the thing. Customer called...
