Weird find in furniture?

purchased an old 1930’s office desk on the weekend to make a bar for my kitchen.

After polishing and cleaning and vacuuming flies from underneath,, This was somehow included in it. Looks like a musky lure.

Anyone know what it may be? No name or markings on it.

That thing is wicked. As much as I'd hate to lose it, I would probably try and catch at least 1 fish on it.

And that piece makes a beautiful bar setup! Bit of a food science/brewing/distilling nerd here :) This post has so much to love :p
 
That’s a cool lure and a fine looking piece of furniture. One or both of these would look nice sitting on top. The bottle of “A night on earth” is exceptional.

I also think that I have a twin of that decoy you have,
