Weird find in furniture?

purchased an old 1930’s office desk on the weekend to make a bar for my kitchen.

After polishing and cleaning and vacuuming flies from underneath,, This was somehow included in it. Looks like a musky lure.

Anyone know what it may be? No name or markings on it.

That thing is wicked. As much as I'd hate to lose it, I would probably try and catch at least 1 fish on it.

It’s quite a bit bigger than the one you found on Etsy and the lure I found has pointed blade tips but after your comment I’m sure is just a larger one but for sure a phleauger!

Not worth much I’m sure so I will be throwing it in the spring summer and someone made em for a reason!

It's an old lake trout trolling lure .
I used those back in my Wire Lining Days

And the cabinet was baught not far from Lake Huron

That’s a cool lure and a fine looking piece of furniture. One or both of these would look nice sitting on top. The bottle of “A night on earth” is exceptional.
