Garmin PS30 install

Looking for some input. I will be installing a Garmin PS30 in the non traditional way just like a normal transducer just trying to figure out the best location. I can install it on a transom board near the kicker or between the fish hawk and Garmin transducer. Thoughts ?

Check the manual it comes with- they specify how far away it should be from the prop etc. By eye it seems a bit close to the kicker but could be OK.

I installed the PS30 last year. I didn't have any room left on the mounting board beside my main motor (starboard). I spoke to a garmin rep and mounted it on its own board between the main and kicker. No problems at all. I too mounted it in the non-traditional way with a Rytek mount.
