Fishing Report River fishin' with Red 👊👍😎

[Extra Virgin]

With the lack of ice in my usual SW Ontario spots I decided to take @Red Hering up on his guided tour inland. It started off chilly this morning but the hike warmed us up.

The first "fish" of the day was me reeling in a snagged branch, followed by Reds first of two carps then my pike. As always, it's a great day fishing with an experienced angler and friend.... catching fish is just a bonus

Thanks again @Extra Virgin for another fantastic day of fishing together. Beautiful Wintery scenery today was all around us,wherever we fished. That was a beautiful pike that you had caught today as well @Extra Virgin and released,( video). Usually we would be ice fishing around this time of year,but this felt nice,fishing a wide open thames river instead for now. The walleye’s were a “no show” today,but perhaps we will catch the walleye’s on our next trip out on the thames river again soon! Tight lines to All!!

Thanks!! and Yes! @King Joe FINALLY,fishing talk! Especially,with no ice fishing report’s so far this year,due to a lack of ice,in Southwestern,Ontario. There will be more fishing report’s coming,my friend!

!! @Wave Runner !! I always carry plenty of 68 sticker’s with me,in case I meet up with,for the first time with @stomp member’s,and yes,definitely for those thames river carp’s as well!!

Are the carp hitting your jigs or you mostly snagging them?

@Tyler0420 one carp out of two that I had caught yesterday on the thames river,was snagged by accident,and the other carp hit my jig,while I was trying to catch a walleye.
