these new add entries are a real pain in the but and whatever you get paid it's not worth it it is ruining a good site
Dave

I've got no problem with the ads. They are just a fact of life in this day and age and I've become very adept at ignoring them!

Which browser I use seems to determine the amount of ads I see. Opera appears to provide the fewest ads. :D. Amazon Silk on my tablet the most. (n)

Guess which one is being used most.

I don't really care about the ads, they don't bother me.

I think we're pretty fortunate to have this place to frequent and share.

When I use my PC not many ads and not sure why but on the phone there's tons. Either way they don't bother me and sometimes some ads do interest me with the product they advertise, no big deal. Ads or no ads this is still the best fishing forum PERIOD so keep up the good work @stomp. ;) (y)

May as well add my 2 cents if it matters.

1st. Dave this should have been done through a pm. Seems like you want attention and something to complain about.

2nd. Stomp this site is amazing and everyone appreciates all you do to keep it going. I don't know much about websites but I do know it's difficult especially with a full-time job.

3rd if it takes a few ads to make it more financially easier then do it. 1st world problems. Few ads ain't ever hurt no one.

The ads seem excessive and dont add anything to the site but if that's the price it has to be then so be it . No different than kijji or anywhere else. I think we will all live to fish another day.....or not

I know nothing about our new comp/tech age, and more so, no urge to learn. Wifey has my handful of sites set for me, 68, Kijiji, ect, works for this old dinosaur? and I can still screw them up?
My truck won't run without gas, guess a free web site won't either? Have we become so "webbed", we can't ignore a add?
I don't even see them unless I want to!

I like the site just the way it is. if i don't like an ad - it gets ignored. simple.

my laptop is with me down here in colombia...usin it on my Gfs wifi this computer is just to to smart as most of the 68 advertisements are in espanola and continuing to try and teach me the language...lol...and online advertisement prices are in pesos (COP) and amazon says they will deliver to Colombia..lol.....the computer and us are headin further south to ecuador for next month and use it where there is available wifi...so I expect more of the same intelligence or even more usin our cells with the small purchase of a local telecom sim card...far cheaper and works better then the networks roaming from home...next time I will remember to bring along my garmin handheld GPS and i think it should work...but then again knowing how garmin works you might have to buy additional software...

Keep up the good work Stomp, ads just seems to be the cost of doing business these days. I appreciate the work and effort that goes into keeping the site going and relevant.

@rbr-wrm , FWIW I did just block 5 ads from some dating site that looked to be purveying what, to me, borders on kiddie porn. I recently noticed those ads and found them offensive, so they are gone. I also reported the ads to Google. I'm not sure if they violate Google's policies, but I think they violate most people's common decency.

Stomp I contribute sometime and check your site almost daily and enjoy it, I am not just looking for something to complain about just voicing my opinion Dave
