wait, how do you know humans have been around for 20,000 years and the earth is 4.5 billion years old? What, because science told you? That same science that can look at soil records, pollen deposits, tree rings, species movement/changes/extinctions/etc., ice cap evidence, water level indicators, anthropological information....to name just a few...to determine, yup, climate change is faster. Why so hard to accept the science is there to indicate rates of climate change are above what has been experienced any time before when you can cite other accepted dates and times? Temp is more than a reading on a thermometer...is is felt and experienced in the earth and its peoples long before we started recording it by numbers.
