We've been out the last three weekends. Hunted north shore, Little Rice Point, and other side of Pottahawk. Seeing very few birds. Are they here? Staying out in lake all day? Any observations?
Drove the north shore back from Featherstone Point to Nanticoke on Thursday. Lots of rafts of bluebills, redheads and ringers spotted along the coast about 300 yards off shore. Reminded me of the old days. Not very accessible areas with no real boat ramps or shore shooting points but the bird population looked healthy in numbers and quite a number of mallards and blacks in the coves along the shore.
