The rest of Stomp's site

In this off-season, I've been working on sprucing up the parts of my site outside of the Channel 6-8 forum. So, when you happen to land on the home page @ www.longpoint.on.ca (or www.longpoint.ca if you prefer) you'll now see the updated page and contents. For the most part, these pages should be mobile-friendly when viewed on your phones.

Of note:
  • I used WordPress to build the pages. I highly recommend WordPress for those wishing to get a site up and running with a minimum of programming know-how required.
  • I'm hoping to add pages and info about the places I usually fish: Long Point, Port Bruce, The Detroit River, The Kawarthas, Lake St. Clair
  • I've started on pages about Long Point, resurrecting content from early in the site's history. I've included a Google map with some info about hazards at Long Point (Google has continued to advance and simplify their map-making and sharing). You can see this page @ http://www.longpoint.on.ca/long-point-bay-hazards-to-navigation/
I know Hastings gets a lot of attention, and I've had requests to build a map for that area, so I hope to do that soon. I would welcome any other suggestions for pages or information that I could add that would be useful for site users.

Thank you! That is very useful information, may even save a life or two.

@stomp can you add this web app or a link. It's completely free and inter-active friendly. I've used it quite few times while doodling on my tablet to check out distances and depths while at home.

OK @Three Bouys , you got me going on this. Navionics does now have a web API for their charts. Now, I'm getting a little old to write a bunch of code, but I'll see what I can come up with. You're right about their charts; they look awesome!

See http://webapiv2.navionics.com/ for info about the API.
