Spring turkey

Curious if anyone has been out to scout for turkeys yet? Any good pics to post?? I know with this weather it sure doesn't seem like spring turkey is just 18 days away! I went out to scout the last week of March and saw dust bowls, tracks and feathers but my trail cam didn't cooperate so no pics....checking the cam again this weekend so I'll post pics if anything interesting

The birds have moved back to are farm and are out strutting real good this week..looking forward to opening day

Very nice! I checked my camera today and no turkeys but lots of deer of course lol. Too much yote traffic I think....put a fresh sd card in the cam and hope for some to show

All this turkey season prep got me excited for smoked turkey so its on the menu tonight for a late easter dinner!! Brined overnight and smoked for 5hrs @225°

That smoked turkey looks great. I have been out doing some scouting on my property’s. Toms are definitely in breeding mode, lots of gobbling on the roost and strutting in the fields.

Well how did everyone make out?

This morning was tough had two Tom's working in and out of no where a yote shows up. Toms gone... Yote not so lucky. Ended up with a nice Tom this evening, a little over 20lbs.

Damn I'm jealous @Reel Therapy!!! I'm stuck working late everyday....hoping to get out of OT Saturday so I can hit the woods. Congrats on the Tom! Always a good day when you get get rid of a predator in the area too
