Rondeau Bay Fishing

Hopefully heading down to Rondeau bay tommrow. Due to high winds, Open lake will probably be unfishable. Never fished it before but looking to fish for bass and whatever else is in there. (Not bringing the walleye gear) any tips would be appreciated.

Had good luck up towards erieau end. Lots of bass . Tube jigs and spinner baits seamed to work best fishing weed beds for me. There is also excellent crappie fishing in the weed beds as well. Only fish it once a year when I am camping at the park.

You will be fine fishing but if it sounds like it's starting to rain don't worry it's probably just steel shot raining down around you.

Haha gotcha. Is their a designated spot that they hunt? Just so I can avoid the area?

They do have designated areas so here's a link with a map to show you where the blind locations will be. They are heavy on the east side of the bay so you may want to keep in the middle or to west side to avoid them. Good luck fishing!
