New LPWA Site page

The link to the forum page from the home page brings up a 404 error. Might want to have someone check that out.

Hello Stomp,

I am "Buddy Boy" but I had problems too.

I tried to get on shortly after the new changes were made but I kept getting a "404 Error" notice. Then a few days later I could not log on as my password for "Buddy Boy" was repeatedly rejected. I then tried re-registering but I was told that "Buddy Boy" was currently in use.

I tried both options again today but I received the same repsonses so I have re-registered as "Tundra Swan".

I do not think that we can have two accounts so let me know what you want me to do.

Thanks,

Jerome Katchin, D.V.M.

Log in as "Buddy Boy" then hit the "I forgot my password" button to reset your password, follow the directions ... then you should be good to go.

Hello Michael,

I previously had tried that too but it did not work either.

Stomp has now made a temporary fix for now.

Jerome

PS I am thinking of keeping my new "Tundra Swan" account.

They have the list of blinds on the site which is great especially for newcomers . My question is , with a lack of experience hunting on the bay , is there a way to rate these blinds as far as weather , wind direction and possibly a history of success. I had only been out a few times YEARS AGO and remember getting there real early for a blind , then setting up , sitting out there on a blue bird day and getting about 5-10 minutes shooting first thing in morning and then and about 15 -20 minutes around dark. And a lot of times the travel patterns tended to make me think we choose poorly for as site , as the birds were mostly flying way off to the left or right of us ( if we saw anything at all) . It seemed to improve a bit ,once we gained access to those portable blinds that were anchored in the bay. At least if there wasn't much flying , we'ed end up with singles or small flocks swimming into or by our spreads . I can only speak for myself as for a lack of experience in duck hunting on the marsh ( my friend hunted out there from his teens on ). I was just a tourist . Makes for a long day on the marsh ! I understand you'll get those days but you know when you come back in and see what everyone got and it's not for a lack of trying . You hear the guns going off all day in some directions .

Magnum 3 The LPWA has copies of the harvest data going back decades. It includes weather and wind direction. Members who request recent data can get it immediately and also subscribe to periodic updates throughout the current season.

Seeing I'm just thinking about getting back into it , I don't know if I'm going to jump right into a membership right yet . I don't really know what is involved , the cost (if any ) or what is expected of me . At this point I have a lot on my plate . Maybe a couple years down the road I'll know better , That being said , i appreciate your response . I guess the only question now is , can I as a non member receive data ( be it current or old ) even if there is a cost involved and who do i contact or where can I get it ? Is the LPWA the place in the park where you go for a blind ? I don't remember ? I was also thinking there was a place when you first start down the causeway i stopped at for something (I think a small building on the right ) .
