Its a 4 stroke with a new belt and impellerIf the old one is a 2 cycle replace it with a 4. If not make sure you put a new timing belt on as well. I'd still fix the old one and sell it for a grand.

8hp Yamaha ,4 stroke, long shaft is 82 lbs,sorry.@big rod . You are going too need a reliable second engine throughout your retirement. Buy a new one and we can make a deal on your old one as long as it is short shaft and under 60 pounds.
