Environment Canada is proposing to end baiting. Those who regularly hunt the unit at Long Point are likely aware there are two feed ponds that help keep birds in the area. This is at the proposal stage and is open to comments. https://www.oodmag.com/news/20463/

There's already some discussion of it here: http://www.longpoint.on.ca/forum/in...ry-birds-regulations-could-end-baiting.52617/

Here is the link to the actual proposal: http://ec.gc.ca/rcom-mbhr/default.asp?lang=En&n=95887643-1

Here is where to send your feedback about the proposal:
By email to: ec.scf-oismiggibiers-cws-miggamebirds.ec@canada.ca
By mail to: Director, Wildlife Management and Regulatory Affairs, Canadian Wildlife Service, Environment and Climate Change Canada, Gatineau, Quebec, Canada K1A 0H3
