Gun safe question

Going hunting and taking my camper, if I put a hasp and a lock on the closet of the camper would that pass as a gun safe for storing guns overnight while I am in the camper with them? Shells will be kept in a locked tool box as always

There is no legal requirement for non restricted guns to be locked up "in transport" other than being out of sight in a locked vehicle.

Nor is there a requirement for ammunition to be locked up.

Agreed with @WinSX3Tom...just make sure they have trigger locks on them to cover your a$$
