It seems like there is always something new to worry about, doesn't it? You are right- this one hits close to home because it is in our backyard. Thanks for posting it.
 
It's been around in the US for a long time but just showed up here. The midges that transmit the disease really like this warm dry weather like we had this summer. From what I've read in the US it can have a devastating effect on the deer population. TC
