Out at Little Rice on Wednesday Dec. 23.
A handful of puddlers and less than a thousand divers to be seen. Somebody got some last minute action in the Unit but it is dead down at the Point.
On way home on Xmas eve there was absolutely no birds in any fields ? No swans.... no sandhills.... no geese..... nothing !

Migration Update
The last hunt is today.....with the weather is finally turning the corner here in Eastern Ontario....Much of the province which includes the Atlantic and Mississippi Flyways is going to get hit hard over the next few days. First an Ice Storm (Sat/Sun) with significant accumulation which will cover the agricultural fields and freeze hard as temperatures fall dramatically.......snow and -14C or 6.8F for the overnight lows for the remainder of the week.
If you are waiting for birds....here they come!

Well I'm off work until the end of the season so I will be out there but putting faith in those weather reports ??? LoL !

We were out on Dec 23 still tons of divers rafted in middle of bay.
