With all this good weather we have had and the resulting lack of birds which have been sitting north of us enjoying the sun and abundant food ,there is a good thing that is happening .The ducks are not going down south where they will be subjected to the large number of US hunters . This will result in a smaller harvest in the US which in turn will have more ducks nesting in the spring , If weather conditions out west result in water (ponds) available we will have even greater numbers of ducks in next fall's flight . Of course we all know that that doesn't mean we will shoot more does it. Just trying to put some light in an otherwise bad year for me personally anyways.Only had one hunt of limiting out and of course my Dad's passing.
