Where is everyone getting their Marine Weather information. I have tried a number of sites on line and have not had a lot of success. I am interested in Port Stanley to Long Point.

Morning, I use Bouy weather, windfinder, and the Ont gov weather page.
Kinda group the three pages info, then flip a coin

I use these:

https://weather.gc.ca/city/pages/on-137_metric_e.html (London)

https://www.wunderground.com/forecast/ca/port-bruce?cm_ven=localwx_10day (gives you a graph giving you wind speed and direction, temp, precip, etc that has been accurate I've found, up to 3 days out and you can toggle off in the customize area what you don't want to see)

http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/station_page.php?station=45132 (Pt Stanley Buoy out in the lake)

https://www.theweathernetwork.com/ca/weather/ontario/london (you can type in Pt Bruce for example and it will give you that info)

and then when I've checked all of those, I look out the window to see what the trees are doing, and that is what dictates whether I will go or not. Today for example, they aren't moving at all, and if the better half permits I might go fishing this afternoon maybe. In general, I've found that, depending on which direction it's blowing, if the wind speed is higher than 20km/hr, (especially if there are higher gusts over and above that) the lake will be to rough and I won't go unless it's an offshore N or NW wind. (Keep in mind I do not own a boat, so that makes a difference.)

Trevor we have been debating till now .... Looked at hastings cam and old cut cam looks good for going out on the boat .... The hastings cam gives the birds eye view of what the lake is doing .... May see you when we are on the way out of Bruce.. Fish on

Depends on what time you're heading out. I was just given the "you may go if you wish" and she doesn't have to tell me twice. I'm on my way as soon as I get dressed. So if you're heading out anytime in the next hour, you won't see me, but anywhere after that, you will.

Thanks guys, just the info I was looking for. Looking to take my boat out on Erie this afternoon for the first time and wanted the best info available.

The wind at the moment is W 14 kph increasing to 17 kph by 1.00 pm this afternoon. Will be a little choppy and uncomfortable when anchored for perch fishing if that's what you have in mind. Hope that helps. :)

@ Knapptime, Yep, I was there when you went out. I waved at you and you waved back just after you cleared the pier before putting your foot into it. Nice boat.
